Medical Peritoneal Dialysis PD Catheter Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Kit
What is peritoneal dialysis?
Peritoneal dialysis uses the peritoneum as a semi-permeable membrane and gravity to infuse the prepared dialysate into the patient's peritoneal cavity through a catheter. In this way, there is a concentration gradient difference of solutes on both sides of the peritoneum. The solutes on the high-concentration side move to the low-concentration side (diffusion effect); water moves from the hypotonic side to the hypertonic side (osmotic effect). The peritoneal dialysis fluid is continuously replaced to achieve the purpose of removing metabolic products and toxic substances in the body and correcting water and electrolyte imbalance. Peritoneal dialysis is one of the main alternative therapies for acute and chronic renal failure. Compared with hemodialysis, it has the characteristics of simple operation, self-dialysis and maximum protection of residual renal function.
The main function of the peritoneal dialysis catheter is to introduce the dialysate into the patient's peritoneal cavity, filter waste and excess fluid in the body through the peritoneum, and simulate the function of a healthy kidney.
Peritoneal dialysis catheters of different specifications are usually selected according to the patient's height and abdominal cavity volume.
How does peritoneal dialysis work?
PD involves putting a soft, hollow tube (catheter) into your abdominal cavity and filling it with a cleansing fluid (dialysis solution). The solution contains a type of sugar that draws out waste and extra fluid. The waste and fluid passes from your blood vessels through the peritoneum and into the solution.

Our PD catheter advantages:
A high-quality peritoneal dialysis (PD) catheter is critical for effective and safe dialysis. When evaluating PD catheters, our products have the following aspects define a high-quality product:
1. Material
Medical-grade silicone:Soft, biocompatible, and flexible, reducing irritation and ensuring long-term safety.
2. Design Features
Single and double-cuff design: Provides better anchoring, reduces infection risks, and promotes tissue ingrowth.
Curved, linear or swan-neck shape: Helps prevent kinking and exit-site trauma.
Radiopaque tubing: Allows easy visibility under X-ray, ensuring proper placement and monitoring.
Large lumen diameter: Facilitates efficient flow rates for dialysis solutions.
3. Sterilization
Pre-sterilized, ensuring the product is ready for use and minimizing contamination risk.
4. Infection Control
Integrated antimicrobial coatings or materials to reduce infection risks, particularly at the exit site.
5. Compatibility
Compatible with various peritoneal dialysis systems, offering flexibility for users.
6. Certifications and Standards
Meets international quality standards such as ISO 13485 approval for medical devices.
Tested for performance, sterility, and biocompatibility.
7. Patient Comfort
Ergonomic design for minimal discomfort during insertion and use.
Skin-friendly materials to avoid irritation at the exit site.
8. Operation consumables kit
Packed with complete operation consumables, convenient for doctor to operate.
Indications:
The Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter Kits are indicated for acute and chronic access to the peritoneal cavity and provide the necessary items for catheter insertion into the peritoneal cavity. It is used to infused and drain fluid during peritoneal dialysis procedures.
Over the years, we have successfully exported a significant number of PD catheters worldwide, consistently earning favorable feedback from our customers. Our high-quality products are the perfect choice for your needs.
