Polyester Suture is a non absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of polyethylene terephthalate fibers. It is prepared from fibers of high molecular weight, long chain, linear polyesters having recurrent aromatic rings as an integral component.
It is available in green and white color. In house needle manufacturing provides better needles with optimum sharpness which finally delivers smooth riding on tissues during suturing.
Polyester Suture is used for permanent, removable fixtures, cardiovascular surgery and orthopedic procedures. It is ideal for valve repair/ replacement and prosthetic implantations. This sutures have no tissue reaction. UNIBOND is neither absorbed nor subjected to weakening by tissue enzymes, these sutures are best suited for cardiovascular surgery.
